Increase your bottom time

Diving’s all about time spent underwater and oxygen enriched air gives you more. Diving with nitrox lets you safely extend your no stop time beyond the no decompression limits for air. We’ll teach you the knowledge and procedures required to use it and provide you with the certification you’ll need to get nitrox fills.

There are three course options you can choose from:

Option 1

Discover Nitrox
This is simply a dive using enriched air nitrox. Your instructor will plan the dive and analyse the mix for you and one of our PADI professionals will accompany you on the dive.

Option 2

Non-diving course
This will certify you to dive with enriched air nitrox, and covers the home-study and classroom theory options along with the practical applications but without any dives.

Option 3

Two dive course
As well as certifying you as a nitrox diver as in Option 2, Option 3 allows you to actually experience it for yourself with two open water dives.

During Options 2 and 3, you will learn how to analyze cylinder contents and plan enriched air dives using tables and dive computers. After completing either of these options you will be certified to dive using enriched air to a maximum oxygen content of 40% and will have one more speciality certification towards theMaster Scuba Diver rating.

Duration

Home study plus half a day of theory for Options 2 and 3. Option 3 includes two nitrox dives in one day. Option 1 is one dive on nitrox.

Option 1 -£45 
Option 2 - £99 (includes course materials and tuition). 
Option 3: £145 (includes course materials, equipment hire, 2 dives and tuition).

Minimum Age 

10 years

Prerequisites 

Certified Open Water Diver or have an equivalent certification from another training organisation. Discover Nitrox can take place during Open Water Dive 4 of the Open Water course.
