Look after yourself and others under the water

Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. The course offered by our Dive school in London is based on the idea that there is never just one right way to perform a rescue and it aims to train you so the need for the use of rescue skills is prevented.

Consisting of theory, confined and open water training, you will learn all the skills and techniques to assist both yourself and a buddy in an emergency. Topics covered include: self rescue and diver stress; emergency management; equipment considerations; dealing with tired and panicked divers on the surface; dealing with a distressed diver underwater; searching for a missing diver, surfacing the unconscious diver and dealing with an unconscious diver on the surface; egress with an unconscious diver. Your new skills will be tested with four dive emergency scenarios.

After the course you will find your confidence, knowledge and experience as a diver has greatly improved beyond a purely recreational level and you will be able to identify potentially hazardous situations and respond accordingly. You’ll also have one of the prerequisites for the Master Scuba Diver rating.
