Anthony Training

Tony Redpath

Director

  • PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
  • PADI Emergency First Response Instructor

Tony is from Cape Town, South Africa. His first diving experience was in 1983 without Scuba, called "Breath Hold Diving" or "Skin Diving". With the abundance of sea life in South African waters, this was a good source of fresh seafood as well as an excellent way of keeping fit. In 1992 he did his first NAUI Scuba Course in Port Elizabeth and has not looked back since. The limited availability of courses saw him change from NAUI to PADI after the new millennium. He has dived most of the coast of South Africa which is total different from West to East with the water tempratures ranging from average 10'C in the West to an average of 25'C in the East.

This is where he gained his experience in Shark Diving. He developed a fobia towards sharks as a youngster, having had a few bad experience with them.... You should ask him to tell you the stories. Nowadays he will take you shark diving and explain how and why it is safe to do so.

Since moving from South Africa, he has learned the BSAC system in the UK and Decompression Diving as well as getting into the comfort of a dry suit to extend dives.

If you can dive in it, he will give it a try.
